Labor Day Weekend

Stongman, Maddie and Papa, Ammon Boy!, SpiderBoy, Dawgga, MichaelMan, and FlowerGirl had an outdoor adventure in the Mountains in Colorado over Labor Day weekend.









We had a great time hiking, visiting Maroon Bells (top 3 most photographed place in the U.S.),










experiencing Aspen, exploring a cave (all the boys were SO BRAVE to go into the tunnel to get down to the cave- it was dark and slimy in there),
& watching the "Motherload" (a Volleyball Tournament).
SpiderBoy picked wonderful assortments of flowers for FlowerGirl and Maddie, & he and AmmonBoy! found gold in the "Double AA ("A" for Ammon and Aaron) Waay Mine". AmmonBoy was a HERO for a day when he spotted that little Dawgga and MichaelMan were about to fall into the deep Mine pit. Thanks AmmonBoy!
We spotted a Fox that came into our campsite. And StrongMan knocked down trees for firewood (for reelz!!) and banged the trunks of the trees against rocks to get them to the right size for burning in the fire.










Watermelon was the secret word during the whole trip. We passed through Green River and consumed 3 whole watermelons during the trip...Michael loved it so much that he woke up from his nap one day and the 1st words out of his mouth were "Watermelon!" said in a painful, if-I-don't-have-watermelon-in-my-body-right-now-I'm-gonna-die kind of voice...we all laughed so hard and said, "Watermelon!" just like that for the rest of the trip.

SUPER FAMILY had a blast not showering for 3 days, eating roasted strawberry marshmallows & all sorts of galactic treats, betting on the fire burning & winning milkshakes, knocking down trees for the roaring fire, snuggling at night to keep warm, climbing Picnic Rock, exploring over the desolate Beaver Dam to get to the raspberries, finding our "secret" rock, giving Maddie a piece of wood shaped like a slice of watermelon, hiking through the woods & finding thimbleberries to eat,
playing volleyball/kickball in the road, playing in the nearby stream, we just had aSUPER BLAST being together!

The Cousins: Episode II

Dakota, Ian, Taj, and Zane came over with Grant, Maddie, Papa, Helen, Warrick, and Joe for a mini Birthday Celebration! We had a BBQ, decorated Train cakes, had a silly string fight, played on the playground, pulled out the TV and had movie night, ate LOADS of candy (so much that Taj threw his up at 2a), opened presents, FIREWORKS, had a sleepover where EVERYONE slept over in Michael's room...even Warrick!

The next morning was pancakes, an awesome swimming pool all to ourselves with a water slide, pizza, videos, games, sword fighting, wrestling, trains, attacking killer bees...

Hogle Zoo

We saw all the animals: Giraffe, Reptiles, Snakes, baby SNOW LEOPARD, lizards, cheetah, tiger, at the Super Pet Store.
Ammonboy and Spiderboy used their mad photography skills to capture all the animals.
One of the birds in the bird show was a copy cat bird. All the free flying birds were swooping so close to everyone's heads that SuperFamily created a forcefield shield over the commoners so that everyone was protected. Everyone loved the Thai lunch break.







SpiderBoy team (with Strongman and Dogga) laid a beatdown on Ammonboy team (with MichaelMan and Flowergirl) in a massive Waterfight. Flowergirl got soaked in the head by Dogga! Ammonboy used the shield of protection to destroy the other team and they all got soaked to the core. They had so much water in their fight that they had to burst out of their area and go into the large field behind the house. They were joined by Teo and Otis (the cutest dogs EVER!), Jocelyn and Madison. SuperFamily warred with Jocelyn and Madison until they realized that they should all be friends and Jocelyn and Madison became our allys and joined our waterfight!

Timpanogas Cave Super Hike

The Super Family climbed up to Timpanogas Cave and found millions of evil lizards and caught them. They had to defeat the bloodsucking bats too. While in the cave they learned all about Stalagtites and Stalagmites and Cave Bacon. They ate the Cave Bacon and it gave them more SUPER POWERS! Then they jumped off the mountain and landed on their feet and kicked a whole bunch of evil flying owls. They made it to the bottom and went home, ate the Super PizzA and concoted a new drink called "Timpanogas Super Soda"!

Then they relaxed and watched Pokemon while the babies (Michael-man and Dogga) slept. In total, we hiked 4.5 miles up the mountain, through the cave, and back down again.

In a few words:
Ammon: remembering what we read that morning during family scripture reading "the chiefest of all chiefests and the chiefs of all chiefs robbing the whole army"!
Aaron: while we were playing with the basketball sepa, "when you eat the poisonous grass you think you're getting hit by a Hot Firey Meteor!" and threw the basketball at Ammon.
Michael: "It's a beautiful Day!" every time we sit to dinner to start the conversation.
Asher: while Michael and Asher were taking turns on the slide saying, "you're turn! you're turn!" said "Sprinkler's turn!" and let the sprinkler head take a turn on the slide.

Villainous Bridge of DOOM

The SuperFamily Men were out for a quiet family picnic (of SUPER Pizza) when they came across the Villainous Bridge of DOOM and discovered FlowerGirl with her pet Piplup. It all started when SpiderBoy was climbing the rocky wall of death and heard a distressed cry. He followed the cry and saved FlowerGirl from falling into the Raging Waters of Finneon.

To thank them, FlowerGirl gave them all Pokemon Pets. To Aaron: Shaymin, Ammon: Mew, Asher and Michael: Vorpix, and To Daddy: Machoke. Then the SuperFamily with their new friend, FlowerGirl hiked to the Pokemon Center together. SpiderBoy found a relative of his: Spidey.

Afterwards, they returned to their Fortress for gooey smore's roasting and Firey Sparklers.

The next day, they decided to go to the Mega Parade (July 24th) where they gave away muzo destroyer cones to destroy the heat that was beating down on all the commoners. They played an exhilarating game of SuperTag in the city's Grand Plaza & created a cyclone of wind with their super fast running to scare away the robbers.
