Valentine's 2010

It was SO fun to just have family vacation time together where we didn't have to fight off any evil villains or solve a mysterious crime! We just got to play and have FUN!

Throughout the weekend, we had our Valentine mailboxes out hoping that Cupid would bring us a treat. Each morning we would check and we found all sorts of goodies like toys, conversation hearts, love notes, fortune cookies, money, & candy!

We met Aunt Sara and Uncle Mike (pending superhero names) at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. We LOVED it! There were Dinosaur Exhibits, Space Exhibits, and a cool screen that could tell what parts of your body were hot and cold. We went and drank some water from the cold water fountain and stuck our tongues out at the screen-- our tongues were dark purple almost black from the cold sensor on the screen!

On one of the days, we went to Mr. Biggs. Datticus, Ammon, & Aaron played tons of video games while Mamma, Asher, & Michael played in the crazy ball house! We had yummy pizza and all played a round of Bowling together! Everyone did so well! Especially Ammon & Aaron! Even THEY didn't know their Bowling skillz were so good!! At the end of the day, Daddy went and won everyone TONS of tickets (over 1200 to trade in for prizes!!) while the rest of us waited in line to race the Go Carts. Ammon & Aaron were serious car racers!! They left everyone else in the dust!!

We decided to take a hike one day and see some REAL Dinosaur tracks and bones. It was super cool. We agreed that the Stegosaurus was a funny lookin' Dinosaur with his beady head and that we would all want the Triceratops with his awesome TAIL on our TEAM!

LOVE

On Valentine's Day we hung up hearts and garlands in our Suite. Before valentine's Day, Mamma & Daddy made a heart garland that had love notes for each of the boys on it. It said this about each one of them:
Ammon: Smart, Awesome big brother, Handsome, Funny, Fast
Aaron:Creative, Best crafter in the world, So sweet, Strong, Cute
Asher: So snuggly, Lovable, Best lil bro ever, So much fun, Playful and super Cute
Michael: Thoughtful, Tough, Imaginative, Likes to Run, Good Friend

To spread more LOVE & CHEER, we invited Auntie Sarah and Uncle Mike to our decorated & loving Suite to decorate HUGE-NORMOUS heart shaped cookies with us. We each drew a name and secretly decorated a cookie for that person. When we gave our cookie to our person, we revealed our secret identity and said something that we loved about that person.

Ammon pulled Aaron's name, Aaron got Mamma, Michael got Asher,
Asher got Michael, Daddy got Ammon, and Mamma got Daddy.

Everyone's GIANT heart cookies were decorated so creatively. Each person really thought hard of the person they were making the cookie for. (i.e. Daddy made Ammon's cookie look like his favorite race car!!) As always on Sundays, we just had fun family time, went to church, Aaron drew this picture at

On Chinese New Year we discovered something really neat about our family!

In our mailboxes we received fortune cookies and a Red Envelope with money inside! In the Chinese Culture, Red Envelopes are given as a sign of good luck and good fortune for the coming year. We all hope for Good Fortune so that we can all live together soon. :)
We went out to Red Robin to eat dinner with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike. Afterwards, we were hanging out in the arcade. Ammon gave part of his lucky Chinese New Year money to a kid in the arcade who didn't have any. The boy put Ammon's money in a machine and won a really nice Digital Watch with it!! Ammon had spread his New Year's luck. :) Instead of being angry that HE didn't get the watch, Ammon was really happy for the boy. Ammon is truly kind and giving.

When polled, Absolutely everyone's FAVORITE thing that we did was SWIMMING! We swam every day! StrongMan threw everyone in the pool so far!! Even FlowerGirl! AmmonBoy and SpiderBoy made HUGE tidal wave splashes with how far StrongMan Daddy could throw us! We played Sharks & Minnows & other games and Dawgga and MichaelMan were able to swim all by themselves in the hot tub that wasn't hot. :)

Astro Ball Bash

At Madee and Papa's. as the grown-ups were contemplating how to save the world, we heard a blood curdling yell. Thinking the supervillian had escaped from his cavernous prison below we quickly got into super hero gear. As we rushed to the scene we saw MichaelMan running like he was being chased by the super villain. But there was nobody there. As we got closer we saw a huge mark: the mark of the beast. We thought he had barely escaped the clutches of the super villain. None of the super grown-ups had ever seen a mark of this size on such a little super forehead before. To our surprise, there was no super villain. Only Dawgga.

They had been playing Astro Ball Blast when suddenly the lights were turned off. Dawgga, thinking to save them from certain doom picked up a ball and smashed the super villain in the dark. Only to find out that it was MichaelMan when the lights were turned on.

When we asked "Dawgga, did you smash Michael?" Dawgga replied, "Yes. Turned the lights off. I picked up the ball and I hit Michael", telling us with a smile on his innocent unknowing face. He really didn't understand that it had hurt his brother. We quickly explained to him the pain associated with the act. Dawgga said, "Im sorry Michael" and MichaelMan said, "I forgive you."

Although it was a smash powerful enough to defeat the common boy, MichaelMan and his super strength was only slightly wounded. Not a tear was shed as he braved through the pain. the strength of this super hero is now well known.
